About Us

So you want to know a little bit more about the Jolly?

If you’ve read the introduction on the Home page, you will already know that the Jolly Sailor is one of the oldest pubs in the UK and has been a place of rest  and recreation for seafarers and travellers alike for centuries. But what can you expect if you visit this inviting pub in Looe in Cornwall today?

The Bar

The heart of any inn is of course its bar, and the Jolly’s bar is a fine example of the olde English style, with dark timber beams supporting the low roof and a roaring fire to warm the cockles on those cold coastal evenings.

The Beam

About Us

We took over The Jolly in June, 2018.
Zoe came from a background of NHS, working as a community nursery nurse and paediatric sleep and behavioural therapist, then moving on to managing Child Health Information Services. She loves DIY (she's great with tiling and plumbing), enjoys crafting and has a real eye for furnishings.
Garry worked for Hewlett Packard for 13 years,  including on-site server support for the Army and RAF. He makes music, is a BIG Depeche Mode fan and used to be a photographer (and, as you can see, was much better BEHIND the camera).
Two children and two dogs (Bailey and Bosun) complete the ensemble.
